Do you remember your first days/weeks at BAT? Tell us how were you feeling, impressions, fun facts?
It was exciting and overwhelming at the same time. It was a completely new industry, a lot of information to be processed, details to remember and to prepare yourself mentally that you’ll have to start working as a sales representative first – without having any prior experience in sales! But then my manager walked me through every little detail, answered my questions and explained the main idea and what is expected of me, which meant a lot to me and was very helpful.
How would you describe your job to someone that has not started a career yet?
Imagine you have a lot of pieces of the puzzle, but you don’t have the exact picture in front of you. What can you do? Well, you look at the pieces and you make assumptions about where each piece should go. You start combining them, making sure they fit and that the picture you are building makes sense. Now, some of the pieces could be parts of a different puzzle and they don’t really give an answer to your particular question, but still, they could be a piece of valuable information in the future so you keep them and start building these other pictures as well and then one day, you get a full, meaningful picture that you can share with others so they can see it too
